Schurle Signs Inc. has been lighting up businesses around the Midwest, as well as serving national accounts since 1972. Helping businesses communicate with customers, designing signs that attract attention, building signs that last, installing signs with care and keeping signs in good repair. Schurle Signs is one of a handful of sign companies in the area that can build signs with the UL label. Our base of loyal customers include many small business owners, banks, commercial developers and property management companies, architects and constructions companies, restaurant chains, grocery stores, as well as national accounts.

• Equipment - Reinvestment in the business allows for up to date equipment. We own and operate our own plastic oven allowing us to make formed plastic faces and sell them retail as well as wholesale to other sign companies, when other companies have to sub out. Computerized metal working equipment including computerized routing, 10’ CNC sheet metal brake and an AccuBend automated channel letter machine allows us to think outside the box and design and build custom signs that stand out from the standard “box” signs. We also house a neon production plant, modern painting equipment, with mixing stations for plastic and metal paints, "Gerber Edge" - thermal digital printing on vinyl substrates as well as solvent printing provide complex full color graphics. Our installation equipment is also up to date with fully stocked crane trucks that allow for installations from the ground up to 100 feet. Schurle Signs own its own excavation equipment including an auger with trailers and supporting equipment. Our state of the art equipment allows us to produce and install 98% of the signage your business may need. This allows us to warranty our work for one year, which covers parts and labor, and keep production schedules timely. Leasing and maintenance contracts are available.
• Experience - Our 14,000 sq. ft. production facility in Riley features state of the art equipment. In-house neon production, sheet metal fabrication of steel and aluminum. Computerized vinyl cutting and large format printing on vinyl, computerized router table, paint mixing stations for plastic and metal, an 8' X 16' plastic vacuum former, and our illuminated awnings are fabricated utilizing the steel stitch system. Our 10,000 sq. ft. production facility in Lawrence features state of the art equipment. AccuBend automated channel letter machine, sheet metal fabrication of steel and aluminum. Computerized vinyl cutting and large format printing on vinyl, computerized router table, paint mixing stations for plastic and metal, and our illuminated awnings are fabricated utilizing the steel stitch system.

• Functions of Signage - Signs communicate and interact with a mobile, literate society. Good signage provides convenience and can improve marginal sites. Better signage identifies your business and works as an image builder.
• Types of Signs - The type of sign has a direct impact on the marketing strategy of a business. A business person can choose from a variety of interior and exterior sign structures: roof signs, projecting signs, wall signs, individual letters, free-standing signs (low profile-monument, pylon signs with or without tenant panels, pole signs) sign structures can include manual change copy signs, electronic time, temperature and message signs, and awnings. Signs can be illuminated internally, externally, or not at all. Non-illuminated signage include: all types of signs pertaining to ADA regulation, banners, vehicle and window lettering and even being able to "print" detailed logos and copy directly to  vinyl. Sign materials include aluminum, steel, plastic, glass, fabrics, and wood, with many variations of composite materials of those listed above.
• Placement of Signage - Signs should be placed in areas leading to the most impact for your business. The area in which a sign can be installed should be inspected for obstructions (building supports and overhead/underground utilities), access, existing structures and power requirements. Local building codes as well as landlord standards should be considered.
